Overview of Christianity

Spiritual Growth

And now we come to your own personal life in Christ. How do you get there? How do you stay there? How does it work in your favor?

This is the most critical and most important aspect of your entire life and yet is the most misunderstood concept in all of Christianity.

Why is it so misunderstood?

Because people have been hammered throughout their lives with the greatest barrage of misinformation designed to confuse and corrupt the true principles of life and Christianity.

The key to the successful spiritual life is through knowledge. And knowledge begins with salvation.

When we were all born alive into this world, we were born with a sin nature. That sin nature made us all spiritually dead to God.

Dead means a separation from something, and in this case, spiritual death means a separation from God.

Physical death means a separation from physical life.

So one can be physically alive, but spiritually dead.

The worst possible situation would be to live through life, remain spiritually dead and then die physically, thus making you both physically dead and spiritually dead. Your future would be the Lake of Fire.

Separation from God means that your destiny as separated from God, will continue in that separation, unless something corrects that separation and re-establishes a relationship with God, thus ending the separation.

That correction is by means of salvation.

Salvation is obtained through faith in Christ. Faith is a non-meritorious belief or expression of faith. It is a simple and single thought, whereby the person, you, believe in Christ by saying or just thinking within your own mind, 'Father, I believe in Jesus Christ.'
